Cultural Programme at GIST

    YUCCA is the cultural committee of the Institute, which bears the testimony of its awareness of the greatmulticulture and multisocietal heritage of India. The committee was formed in 2009 as a result of an earnest craving for establishing a cultural and social unity center in the Institute by both the faculties and the students and was named 'YUCCA', that stands for YOUTH, UNITY, CONFIDENCE, COURAGE and AMBITION. The committee's notable cultural activities include organizing Annual Fest and different competitions like Debating, Singing, Dancing, Quiziit - the Quiz Competition, Recitation, Extempore, Mime, Antakshari and many more. Eminent cultural personalities and their groups like M/s Raghav Chatterjee, Rupankar, Prantik, Ishaan and Miss Dipannwita at all and different musical Bands like Cactus, Lokkhichhara, and Prithibi among others have time to time honoured this Institution by coming and performing in its Annual Cultural Fests.

    The Institute is proud of the fat that it is treasured with a student community that is committed to the ideals of the great men of our nation and respectful to their teachers. Occasions like the Celebrations of 150th Birth Anniversaries of Biswa Kabi Rabindranath Tagore, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy and Swami Vivekananda and the observation of the Teachers' Day bear the testimonies of the statement on these days. The Institute is consent in paying homage to the Mother India by observing the Independence Day and the Republic Day. In addition, on the days of the celebrations of Fresher Welcome and Farewell, the Institute enjoys 'Fests' with 'Feasts'.
